Warzone Resurrection: New Imperial Teaser!!

Prodos games have released this new teaser render for their upcoming Imperial release. While most people seem to recognize the synonymous beret of the Imperial Special Forces, what people can't decide is; just what branch of Special Forces does this figure come from? I am liking the claws, it is a nice throw back to the mourning Wolves and I hope that this becomes the trade mark weapon for Imperial close combat weaponry, much like how samurai swords are for Mishima.

My initial reaction is Golden Lions, based purely off the claws, while others seem convinced that it will be Blood Berets or something completely new and similar to the Bauhaus Juggernauts. Either way, people are excited about this render and it looks like the Imperial faction will generate a huge amount of interest at this year's salute convention.

With all the latest Warzone renders, it looks like Prodos are cranking all the way to 11, so I better make sure I get to the Prodos stand nice and early!

Warzone Resurrection: More Imperial renders & The Eradicator!

Prodos have been busy busy and some how this update managed to slip under my radar, these awesome pictures are a taster of whats coming up very soon. First up we have the Eradicator Deathdroid which is the heavy vehicle for the Cybertronic faction, this figure has been kept true to the design with of course the extra Prodos detailing. what I am impressed with is the sheer size of this figure, as it gives an indicator of what future heavy walkers will be like in terms of scale and quality, this also means that Prodos are keeping to their word of focusing on filling the final leg of their KS obligations. Although I am not a Cybertronic fan I am probably going to get one of these painted up for the display case.

Prodos have also decided to tease the Warzone community some more, with some additional render shots of the upcoming Imperial Mega Corporation, the final major faction in the game. While this is very exciting in itself, the best part of it, is we have a release date: 12th April which is Salute (London Wargaming convention) and I for one am very excited about this. I will be heading straight over to the Prodos stand on that day to make this my third faction!

In terms of company progress, Prodos shared some very interesting information last week. They have in fact expanded, the UK facility has moved into a larger warehouse and a new production facility has in fact opened in Poland with further plans to create a U.S based production and supply line. This is excellent news, as expansion after merely a year of being on the scene, is a good sign for the company.

So a lot of positive stuff coming from Prodos, which is cementing fan's faith that this is going to be a long term/ongoing thing. And what about me? Well the lights in the den are being fixed as I type, which means I can migrate shortly to the new room...so expect more Mishima, Bauhaus and of course my new gaming table!

Warzone Resurrection: Imperial Are Coming!

Prodos Games have decided to tease it's fans with a rough render of the final Mega Corporation of the Warzone Resurrection universe. The Imperial Mega Corporation has undoubtedly got a large following with it's British WWI and Celtic warrior spliced image, but sadly they were not unlocked during the Kickstarter. I am actually quite glad that they were not unlocked, simply because adding another faction to the backlog of KS orders, would have proved disastrous for Prodos in light of the additional manufacturing required for AvP. Despite this, I am quite happy with the early render of the iconic Trencher Infantry and will be chalking this faction up as soon as miniatures hit retail - That puts me at three factions for this game!

With only a year on the scene, Prodos have made waves with high quality miniatures and also very good interaction with the customer base and although they have had delays with getting everyone's KS orders out the door, at least most packages have made it to people. There are a lot of other companies out there who have not delivered a single miniature after one year of waiting and also have terrible communications with their consumer base.

On the hobby side of things, while the wet and cold has hampered my hobby spirit, I am getting things done! Stuff is waiting for airbrushing and a load of models are being cleaned between blogging, up dates with pictures coming soon, lots of Warzone miniature goodness is coming...

Warzone Resurrection: Mishima Characters & Another Meka

Hobby has been progressing at a much slower pace these last two weeks, due to some minor project shuffling and some stressful real life things that needed sorting. However it is full steam ahead with Warzone this weekend as I start putting some hard effort into my Mishima characters and a second Meka. As you can see from the photo, the figures are in varying stages of progress. Nozaki was originally ready to paint last week, but I noticed some nasty air bubbles around the right hand. That has now been filled and re-carved, while the sword just needs a little bit of sanding down to make it level. Extra effort but necessary as the faults were in very visible areas. Tatsumoto is sailing away in terms of painting, with a base colour and shade already applied, my hope is to get on with him and finish over the weekend, assuming I don't get distracted.

Finally we have Meka number 2. This time I have put some extra effort into the base to make it stand out a bit more. The Vulkan wreck makes for a very catchy bit of base decor that; once surrounded with foliage and the sort; will provide a cool story for the model as a whole. Naturally I will be doing a form of free hand on the Meka, I just need to decide on what and get some practice sketches in.
