Middle of the week progress report on this rather humid evening! Three gaming systems, three separate reports; complete with pictures; for everyone to enjoy. If that's not variety, then I don't know what it. Joking aside there is a lot about to happen in the next few weeks...

Warhammer Fantasy Battle

Yes I know, I was meant to have a game last Sunday, but one problem lay in the way - Father's Day. Both Lorna and myself had forgotten (due to how hectic things are here at the moment), until we had relatives show up...In the long run it was for the best as the Pistoliers; I had ordered the weekend before (from GW direct no less) arrived one day before our intended game; despite frantic building I only managed to get the horses built - It would have been very embarrassing running riderless ponies shooting guns (see below).

Horus Heresy: The Terran's Return

So I had a little photo editing fun over the weekend, advertising my new project. I had pretty much given up on building any new 40K project this year, due to the amount of time invested into Fantasy and of course the massive upcoming Warzone Resurrection release - massive in the sense of I will be getting hundreds of figures in one go - Which I can't wait for, Prodos Games you guys should be very proud of yourselves!

Despite all the fun and games coming this summer, delving through my hobby graveyard turned up some interesting and down right weird pieces I had been working on from around 3-4 years ago. I managed to salvage parts from a  variety of projects; mainly Forge World armour sets; which saves me a lot of money. While I really liked some of the conversions I had worked on (namely the ones on the photo from last week), I see why I stopped working on them: I had tried at that point to add Caliban elements to my design process - robes, and Knightly Order badges, which left me undone as at the time, since there was (and still is as far as I recall) only two primary sources of research - Descent Of Angels and Fallen Angels.

Warhammer: Empire & Vampire Counts Updates

Last weekend was a Lorna's birthday so sadly we had no time for our respective projects. We have compensated this weekend with a bit of building, lots of sanding and (in my case list writing). Both armies are nearly game ready; built, sanded and primed; and our first game looks to be on target for next weekend - 16th June.

Well my list has gone through a massive change due to figures taking too long and generally wanting other figures in my collection. I have dropped the Amber Wizard on Griffon idea, simply because I don't want to feel rushed building it for next weeks game; on the up side; I feel the new list suits my play style better and still has some gimmicks without risk of falling apart, should spells not go my way.
