Horus Heresy Books & More

A random early morning post from myself - It's just gone 5:04am at the time of writing. The reason for this unusually early morning hobby bit, is the dog has had a little accident after being fed bad things by the girlfriend, while I was away this weekend. Needless to say, one large German Shepherd makes a lot of mess and since I am up now (and can't sleep) I may as well share a post on what came through the door end of last week.

I mentioned last week about the new bookcase I had put up and the immediate need to fill it. Luckily for me, an easy task as I discovered that Black Library had decided to re-release the Horus Heresy in hardback, my favourite book format. So I put in a order for all six novels (not including the audio transcripts), which arrived well packed with that fantastic new book smell. The books are simply gorgeous, with the to be expected awesome dust cover art being fantastic. As an added bonus that the hard covers also have the cover art printed on them and some of the books have bonus art inside as well.

These were not the only books to arrive on my door step last week, at the same time I ordered the Horus Heresy range, I decided to pop an order for some Star Wars books: The Fate of The Jedi collection. I have eight of the nine books and am looking forward to mixing up my reading diet between the series over the coming months. I had originally intended to read only Old Republic Books, but my increasing re-interest in Star Wars has won out over better financial judgement.

My girlfriend has really re-ignited my joy of reading this year, it has been a long time since I have taken the time to read a physical book and quite honestly it feels great to be holding a book, instead of an iPad. As far as I can tell, all of the Horus Heresy books will get a hardback release, so it will only be a matter of time until I have the full collection in hardback. Anyway since I am up now, I may as well start the day with a nice bit of grim dark (false Gods) and maybe later I will be rested enough to work on some more Plaguebearers.

Thanks for reading,
